Biography

Amy Lewis has been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2004. She has worked in several clinical areas as a nurse practitioner during her career.  She worked as an adjunct instructor for Belmont’s School of Nursing and worked in public health, primary care, and retail healthcare. Since 2007, Amy has worked in urgent care for both Vanderbilt and HCA.  

In the Fall of 2016, she came to Belmont Health Services. In addition to working as a nurse practitioner, she is also a certified QPR suicide prevention trainer. Amy enjoys the rewards of being able to serve both the mental and physical needs of the college population. She also loves the educational opportunities with this population at a crucial development period as they transition into adulthood.  

Amy holds both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (1998) and a Master of Science in Nursing (2004), from Belmont University. Amy lives in Nashville with her husband, two daughters and her two dogs, Willie and Lizzy. She enjoys doing anything outdoors.
