Biography

Dr. Tavajay Campbell joined the Belmont faculty in the summer of 2019. He graduated cum laude from Cornell University and Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Doctor of Pharmacy, respectively. After graduation he completed an ASHP-Accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY then moved to Nashville to complete an ASHP-Accredited PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency with Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy.

Dr. Campbell’s area of specialty is ambulatory care. He serves as a co-instructor in the Therapeutic Case Studies course for students in their third year of the pharmacy curriculum. He also serves as co-instructor for the Health Assessment course for first-year pharmacy students. Dr. Campbell has a practice site at St. Thomas Medical Partner South Clinic where he serves a predominantly Spanish-speaking population providing diabetes education and management under a collaborative practice agreement. Dr. Campbell’s professional interests includes international missions, innovative teaching strategies, and population health.
