Foster Friendly Advocate Certificate

Launched as part of Belmont’s initiative to support foster children, youth and families, the Foster Friendly Advocate Certificate empowers students to create foster-friendly environments and advocate for vulnerable children. Students earn credit by completing foster-friendly courses and related experiences, culminating in this certificate—a signal of their commitment to advocacy, inclusivity and positive community impact.

IMPACT Certificate

IMPACT (Interprofessional Models for Practicing Collaborative Teamwork) is Belmont’s signature interprofessional education experience for students in nursing, medicine, pharmacy and health sciences.

IMPACT

Students participate in four immersive, two-day labs, each focused on one of the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) core competencies:

  • Values & Ethics
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Communication
  • Teams & Teamwork

Each lab combines breakout sessions on health systems science, advocacy and human flourishing with a culminating hands-on activity. Students learn with, from and about one another—building the teamwork, trust and perspective needed to improve patient outcomes.

Students who complete all four labs earn the IMPACT Certificate, a differentiator that highlights readiness for collaborative, team-based care in today’s healthcare environment.

Stand out. Serve others. Build skills for life. Belmont’s non-credit certificates prepare you to lead, advocate and collaborate—regardless of your path.
