Get Involved

Title IX & Sexual Violence Prevention

Belmont University has started a group of students who are committed to raising awareness and bringing change to end sexual violence. If interested, there are several ways you can get involved: by becoming a member, a peer advocate, or a peer educator.

Fill out the below form and someone from the leadership council will be in touch.

It’s On Us!

It’s On Us is a pledge of personal commitment to help keep women and men safe from sexual assault. Their mission is to:

  • RECOGNIZE that non-consensual sex is sexual assault.
  • IDENTIFY situations in which sexual assault may occur.
  • INTERVENE in situations where consent has not or cannot be given.
  • CREATE an environment in which sexual assault is unacceptable and survivors are supported.

You can take the pledge here

Campus Security, our peer educators, and SGA have partnered to bring It’s On Us resources to Belmont University. If you’d like to learn more about this please email or

Join One Love

Founded in 2010 to honor the memory of Yeardley Love, One Love works with young people across the country to raise awareness about the warning signs of abuse and activate communities to work to change the statistics around relationship violence. Belmont has partnered with this organization to bring the Escalation Workshop to campus as well as create a meaningful avenue for students and staff to be a part of the movement.

If you are interested in learning more about the foundation or joining the movement with the One Love Foundation, check out this website. You can also email

Peer Educators

The mission of Belmont University's peer educators is to spread educational awareness for domestic and sexual violence and advocate for victims through trainings, fundraisers, and special events.  These students value educating individuals on how to detect an abusive relationship or situation and will provide resources to active bystanders and victims of crime. Students in this group want to:

one another through the events and trainings offered. This organization will also prioritize serving our campus community and Nashville community by volunteering with other organizations and raising money for organizations that support victims of sexual violence. Contact for more information.
