Health Clinic Fees & Insurance
There are no office-visit fees for clinic visits, but students will incur charges for some medications, laboratory testing, office procedures and medical supplies. If charges are incurred, students can pay by credit or debit card, some HSA/FSA cards, check or cash. Health Services is not able to put charges on student accounts.
Health Services does not file health insurance. Students may print a Clinic Visit Statement from their Health Portal to submit to their insurance to determine reimbursement eligibility.
Health insurance can be filed by the Belmont Pharmacy for prescriptions. Belmont requires all students to have medical insurance that covers costs for emergencies and physician services. Students should verify their coverage for hospitals and providers in Tennessee and carry their insurance card with them at all times.
Belmont does not offer a student insurance plan for undergraduate students. If the student is not covered under their parent’s insurance, more information about insurance in Tennessee can be found at these websites:
Graduate student insurance is available through United HealthCare. All graduate students must either opt in or waive the insurance policy HERE. For more information contact Malcom McDole, Student Services Coordinator 615.460.5638 or malcolm.mcdole@belmont.edu.
